Love Lives Here - CardMaker Challenge

Over on the CardMaker Blog they had a challenge.  Here was the challenge!

Create a one-layer card with one sentiment, one image and one embellishment. You can add one piece of cardstock or patterned paper, as long as it doesn’t cover more than 25% of the front of your card. Set a timer and let me know how long it took you to create.

I was suppose to be doing something else, but....  I decided I needed to do this challenge instead!! In the interest of time, I only took the one photo!  This card took 19:09.1 minutes (before photographing) according to my phone stopwatch.  I had a couple of slowdowns....  stamping indiscretion... it was crooked, so I needed a new card.  *sigh*  (and I even used my stamp positioner!) I started with VersaMagic Sage ink and decide once I got the heart on the house that I would go with VersaFine Crimson.... which had been "mis-filed", so I lost a few more minutes. And this is how a 5 minute card takes 20 minutes!

Whew!

Thanks for having a look!  Oh, and doing this blog post doubled the time  o_0
Hope love lives with you today!

Thank You Card - With Little Dress

Here is a card I made using the Dresses One die set from Spellbinders - and a Quietfire Design rubber stamp, of course!  I just love these little dresses!

And I've been itching for a chance to use the little Tim Holtz Hangers and the wee clothespins!! Soooo cute!

Best Friends Forever and Little Dresses

I simply adore the little dress dies from the Spellbinders Media Mixage line. I didn't have too much time to play, but I felt the need to make a card.  These little dresses were calling to me! And this is what happened...

This was really a simple card to make using the Kaisercraft Magic Happens decorative paper.  It all coordinates so beautifully that its kind of embarrassing how easily it assembles.

There are these sweet little "aprons" that leave a spot just waiting for embellishment.  Or you could just leave them open.

The VersaMagic stamp colour that I chose to match was Eggplant.
Thanks for stopping in and having a look!

I made my very first easel card to celebrate Mother's Day!  Here is a sneak peak, but you can see the whole thing over on Quietfire Creations.

Home is the Heart - Hanging Cutie

I was thinking to myself - I can't just send a card.  So I thought I'd make this little wall hanging thingy for my friend's new home. (And now that she has received this, I can share it!)  This is what I came up with.

It's designed to match the card I made over a Quietfire Creations.

I just kept adding this and adding that!  I had such a good time!  I could have kept going, but really, this had to get into the mail sometime this decade...

I'm so glad I still have some of these little canvases.  I better raid the stock before they're all sold out, because it was the perfect base for this little project. A Tim Holtz Memo Holder is the hanger.

I coloured the pearl for the center of the flower using Butterscotch Alcohol Ink.  The wooden house icon has a bit of red stamp ink blended on it (it was whatever ink was on the pad - I didn't add anything new!).
