The Hum of the Bees - Card

I wanted to show off this Cuttlebug embossing folder - I brought the set in because I love the bees!

These are the eensy, weensy blossoms from the Spellbinders Whimsy die set.  I popped the pearls into the middle of the blossom as well as nestling the slightly larger ones around the outside.

Card Synthesis:
I used the blending tool with the Distress Ink to colour the backs of the flower diecuts as the paper is single sided.  I love the little tiny flower from the Whimsy set. (But what really attracted me to the Whimsy set was that butterfly which I will use in something else soon!)
I chose Distress Tea Dye for shading the bee embossed paper, because it had that tinge of orange-peach which went with the paper.
Archival Ink was used to stamp the sentiment.

Reagents:
Quietfire Rubber Stamp: The Hum of the Bees from the Garden Delights Stamp set. (Yes.  Really.  I cut off the attribute! Link is in image below)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder set: Sentimental
Prima Almanac A4 Paper Pad
Spellbinders:Pagemaps Whimsy, Labels 10, Classic Ovals Small, Labels 20
Pearls
Distress Ink: Tea Dye and Black Soot (link to Distress Ink, click image below)

Just got in a few new sweeties from Cuttlebug. I put these through the Spellbinders Wizard. They are truly amazing. I just can't see me hand embossing ever again!

A Final Card and the Grand Prize Winner

The Grand Prize Winner of the random draw for $100 worth of Quietfire Rubber Stamps is

Daria!

Congratulations! Please email me!

Here is what she said (I'm still chuckling):

Well, heck! I kept track of every single stamp used. LOL. All of the artwork was wonderful, and even though I was late for some of them, I enjoyed seeing them.I wasn't able to leave a comment on Monica's blog today since I didn't fall into any of the categories she has set to leave a message. So I'll just say it here:Monica, I loved your card and the idea of using the ornament. Thank you for the advice about doing a little at a time when embossing over a line from a VersaMark pen. I tried that once and made a terrible mess doing it all at once.Thank you to everyone!

Once again thank you to the Quietfire Design Team members and alumni who played! Links to their blog posts have been added to the Project Gallery should you be looking for them at a later date.

This card was made with the Spellbinder's Wizard, the Dreamweaver Poinsettia stencil (run throught the Wizard), Spellbinders Fancy Tags and Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. Peace is from the Textured Holiday Words.

Happy creating everyone! Thanks so much for playing in the Blog Hop. We hope we've inspired you!
