This is another diecut available on the Silhouette Online Store this week.

I love how these cards turned out.  This first one is one of the first die cuts I made with the Silhouette Cameo.

 

 

Here is another, done more recently, that uses both the diecut and Real Love Stories rubber stamp.

 

 

 

I really love the little flowers in the Spellbinders Whimsy die set.  I popped a little pearl in the center.  Sometimes I colour these pearls with alcohol ink. Getting white ones makes them so versatile.

(if it's confession time, these are the cards I was making when I realized I had never done a formal italic Thank You and so the Floral Thank You set was created shortly after these cards!)

Give Me the Splendid Silent Sun

So this style is a little step back in time for me.  It's been a while since I used gesso and pinned on charms.

I love using the Kraft Tags - they're such a yummy colour!  I stroked gesso onto the tag with a brush, then gave it a smattering of Walnut ink (the real stuff, not the stamping ink!).  Since I knew I was going to be messing with it a bit more, I used StazOn to stamp the quote, as I didn't want it to run.

 

On The Edge Butterflies and the Pediments were diecut from chipboard and then given a little wingtip and edge treatment with Walnut Ink, spritzed with water to make it run and then allowed to dry. 

To get the Composition Leaf on the wings, I just wiped glue stick over the surface and chose bits of leaf that were autumn-like colours.  I pressed them in place with my fingers.

 

I wanted some colour in the stamped tag, so I used the Ink Blending tool to blend Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany.  lol, think that was enough?

 

The tag, butterflies and pediment die cuts were assembled as shown using Be Creative double-sided tape and then mounted on the tent card using Pop Dots.  The card had the border drawn freehand (yeah, no kidding!!) using two different tips of Pigma pens.  (Design Team member Sherry Cheever has rubbed off on me with these borders and her fabulous messy bows).

 

The last thing is to use a ribbon to tie on a key and wire pin (really, these are adorable little kilt pins!) and then create a messy bow. Oh, and round the corners of the chipboard card with the Corner Chomper!

Sometimes, Said Pooh

Every time I get an order for this stamp, I say "Sometimes, said Pooh" as though I'm reading it to a little person.  Ahem, I guess you have to be here....

I took some photos of our kitty at the top of the stairs a few days before he died and used one to create an image which I cut with my Silhouette Cameo digital cutter.  I used the Lincoln paper because it's made from many of the same colours as kitty was.

It's a very quiet house today.

This card is for our vet, Dr. Bradford Bradbury (oops!) at Van Isle Veterinary Hospital, who took over Tiger's care while Dr. McLean is on maternity leave (and looks way to young to be even a high school graduate). But she said all the right things when we needed to hear them most. I can't thank her enough for that.
